The Undersea Kingdom of Seatopia (シートピア海底王国,   Shītopia Kaitei Ōkoku), otherwise known as simply Seatopia (シートピア,   Shītopia), is a vast underground nation that appears in the 1973 Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. Megalon. It is the home of the Seatopians.

Godzilla vs. Megalon

Thousands of years ago, the continent of Lemuria sank into the ocean. However, its inhabitants survived and established the Undersea Kingdom of Seatopia, where the Seatopian people lived a life of peace in underground cities akin to ancient Roman and Greek civilizations, with their architecture influenced by both as well as that of Easter Island. The Seatopians utilized advanced technology to generate their own oxygen and construct an artificial sun that brought light to their subterranean domain, allowing them to enjoy a peaceful existence cut off from the rest of humanity. However, from the late 1960's onwards, Seatopia was repeatedly damaged by nuclear tests carried out by the nations above. The final straw came when a nuclear test wiped out Monster Island, and with it, the northern sector of Seatopia. Under the direction of their leader, Emperor Antonio, the Seatopians called upon their god, Megalon, and prepared an attack on those who were unknowingly destroying their nation. The Seatopians opened fissures in the Earth that their people and Megalon used to reach the surface, with several Seatopian agents conspiring to steal the robot Jet Jaguar to aid in their assault on humanity. Emperor Antonio sought additional assistance from the M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens, and acquired Gigan after the humans regained control over Jet Jaguar. The two monsters were set loose upon the Japanese countryside, only to come face-to-face with Godzilla and Jet Jaguar, who eventually defeated the evil monster duo. Megalon then retreated underground back to Seatopia, at which point the Seatopians chose to seal their nation off from the surface once more, but vowed to return if their cities came under threat again.

Reiwa era

Godziban

Megalon, Gigan, and Little discussed the history of Seatopia and its people, describing it as a utopia ruled by King Antonio. After the continent of Lemuria sank into the ocean, its inhabitants relocated to a hollow space in the Earth dug by Megalon's grandfather, whom the people regarded as their savior and established Seatopia as their new home.
