After the streets of Tokyo became flooded for an unknown reason, a Mini-SGS was deployed from the GX-813 Griffon to search the submerged districts for survivors, and for the cause of the deluge. Travelling through the streets, the sub found a giant cocoon, which later revealed itself to be Megaguirus, the queen of the Meganula. The giant dragonfly broke out of her cocoon and rose to the surface, with her powerful wing frequencies interfering with the submarine's technology, disabling it.
