Containment fields are barriers designed to restrain Titans that appeared in Godzilla: King of the Monsters and its novelization, and later appeared in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire - The Official Movie Novelization.
Design

Mechanisms
Containment
The fields are tailored to the specific Titans they are assigned to restrain. This means that Titans who have not been registered for a containment field before Monarch is given the chance cannot be effectively barred.
Trapping
The containment fields are able to be set up in order to suprise-trap Titans if they walk into them.

Trivia
- Due to laying dormant underground, Scylla was never registered for a containment field. This means that Monarch was unable to trap her using the containment fields after she emerged in 2019.
