As the drones steadily descend, an electromagnetic interference is detected, and the 'fog' in the atmosphere is concluded to be an abnormality. As the drones' sensor modules are switched, so as to solve the visibility constraints, atmospheric density rapidly begins increasing at an altitude of approximately 500 meters, making further descent impossible. Soon after this, the drones detect sudden movement, which does not go unnoticed by [[Halu-Elu Dolu-Do]]. Drone 6 is then switched to sound wave reconnaissance, and temperatures around the drone begin to increase drastically. The Reconnaissance Drones are remote surveillance drones created by Toho that first appear in the 2017 animated Godzilla film, GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters.

Upon entering the troposphere, it is concluded that the time since departure from Earth is approximately 10,000 years. A video and audio feed is then established with Drone 6, as the drones reach an altitude of 2,000 meters, and thick particles floating in the atmosphere are detected, thus making it exceedingly difficult to see.
