Several ships of this class were in the Tasman Sea, escorting [[King Kong (Monsterverse)|Kong]] to the [[Hollow Earth]] entrance in [[Antarctica]]. When Godzilla came, the aforementioned ships would engage the titan, with one being destroyed by the monster splitting the ship in half with his tail. After Kong was freed from his restraints, the ape titan would use another one of these ships as a makeshift stepping stone to get onto a nearby Aircraft Carrier. Another one of these ships would be responsible for dropping the depth charges that broke Godzilla's tail grip on Kong. The surviving ships would be powered down as to play dead so Godzilla would believe he won the engagement.

The Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser is a class of warships operated by the United States Navy since 1983. It appears in three of the Monsterverse films by Legendary Pictures, starting with Godzilla (2014).

Godzilla surfaces beneath three of the cruisers, prompting two of them to open fire, touching off a battle that led to him crashing through the Bridge.
