GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters
In 2048, 15,000 humans were selected by the United Earth's artificial intelligence Omni Electio to evacuate the Earth aboard two interstellar immigration ships, the Aratrum and the Oratio. 5000 passengers boarded the Aratrum, which was bound for the planet Tau-e in the Cetus constellation. Because Tau-e was projected to be closer to Earth than the Oratio's destination, the Aratrum was not equipped with hypersleep pods. When the Aratrum arrived at Tau-e after two decades of travel, its number of passengers had dwindled to 4000 due to diseases and other hardships, while contact with the Oratio was lost. Tau-e was found to be uninhabitable for humans, so the Central Committee chose to attempt to return to Earth. When the ship arrived, they discovered that at least 10,000 years had passed on Earth and that Godzilla was still alive. The Central Committee approved Captain Haruo Sakaki's plan to disable Godzilla's Asymmetrically Permeable Shield and destroy him using EMP Probes, and appointed Colonel Eliott Leland to lead the mission. Many landing crafts aboard the Aratrum were then deployed to the planet's surface, where humanity would fight one last desperate battle to reclaim its home from Godzilla.
Capabilities
- Can carry up to 5000 passengers.
- Possesses a subspace navigational system that allows the ship to instantaneously jump light years ahead. However, using this system to cover extremely large distances is risky and restricted, as doing so runs the risk of causing large deviations in the ship's destination. The hyperdrives also caused the Aratrum to reach Earth after 20,000 years had passed there, even though the journey was instantaneous for the ship.
- Can deploy Landing Crafts to a planet's surface.
