After laying waste to Tokyo, Godzilla waded back into Tokyo Bay, where several F-86F Sabres were mobilized to fight him. The jets opened fire on Godzilla with their payload of rockets, which only served to annoy the monster, who eventually disappeared under the waves. With no means to continue fighting Godzilla, the J.S.D.F. were forced to end their counterattack.

Godzilla Raids Again

Numerous F-86F Sabres were deployed to Osaka during Godzilla's battle with Anguirus in the city. After Godzilla killed Anguirus and began travelling north past Hokkaido, more F-86Fs and a fleet of Lockheed T-33A Shooting Stars were deployed to attack Godzilla on an ice-covered island. The jets were successful in burying Godzilla up to his neck in an avalanche, and Tsukioka then buried Godzilla completely with a missile from his own plane.
