— SHIVA.consortium slogan |
The SHIVA.consortium (シヴァ共同事業体 is a multinational organization featured in the Shiva Kyōdōjigyōtai)2021 animated Godzilla series, Godzilla Singular Point. A self-described "research and development consortium studying virtual materials in the real world and real materials in the virtual world," their findings lead to the successful creation of Archetype, a wondrous new material capable of seemingly impossible feats which was once thought to only exist in simulations. Established in 1978[1] as a subsidiary of Archetype Co., Ltd. (株式会社アーキタイプ, SHIVA absorbed its parent company almost immediately and continued acquiring other business entities to become something of a conglomerate by the year 2030. Among SHIVA's subsidiaries is Union Compound India, a research facility constructed around a temporal anomaly known only as the "Singular Point." Kabushikigaisha Ākitaipu)
Name
The SHIVA.consortium is likely named after the Hindu god Shiva. Its English name is represented in Japanese as シヴァ コンソーシアム (Shiva Konsōshiamu).[1]

Orthogonal Diagonalizer
- Main article: Orthogonal Diagonalizer.
Using the processing power of the Super Dimension Calculator, Dr. Li Guiying found that when advanced to its thirteenth phase, Archetype could act as a catalyst, altering the crystalline structure of adjacent Archetype samples. With this knowledge, the SHIVA.consortium developed the Orthogonal Diagonalizer, a potent handheld device which could be detonated in the presence of Archetype to alter it in trillions of potential ways depending on what code is entered into the device. One such setting, used on the monster Salunga, caused clouds of Archetype to crystallize into sharp spikes which impaled him.

Robogodzilla
SHIVA.consortium founder Michiyuki Ashihara had been working in secret to convert the bones of a deceased Godzilla into Robogodzilla (ロボゴジラ, Robogojira)[2][3][4][5] a mechanical superweapon, since at least the 1970s.
The project was conducted in partnership with two other companies: Black Hole, Inc. (ブラックホール社 and Third Planet, Inc. Burakku Hōru Sha) (第三惑星社, each contributing technological components over a period of decades. Robogodzilla's claws, knee spikes, and ears were all constructed in 1975 by Third Planet, Inc. Its heels and vocal chords were completed by Black Hole, Inc. in 1975 and 2002, respectively. The mech was also equipped with an electronic brain, though the identity of its creators remains classified. Daisan Wakusei Sha)[2]
By the year 2030, with involvement from Michael Steven and Takehiro Kai, Robogodzilla seemed to be almost entirely completed.
