It has been roughly a quarter of a century since Godzilla was last seen, following a fearsome battle. With the world at peace from giant monster attacks, people have largely forgotten the past struggles. However, this changes when waves of Gigan Miles appear and attack Japan. A squadron of JSDF F-35 fighter jets engage a Gigan Miles in the atmosphere, but the monster proves impervious to their missiles. The jets are swiftly outflanked and destroyed when the cyborg monster out maneuvers and attacks back with its arms and energy beams. On the ground as more jets fly into battle, a tank battalion fires upon another Gigan Miles to little effect before yet another cyborg monster ambushes them. As the Gigan Miles squadron amass in the now ruined city to lay waste to it, another of their number of thrown down after being torn apart by an unknown assailant.
Godzilla makes himself known and confronts the Gigan Miles group. One of the cyborgs attempts to strike at Godzilla with their spiked arms and tail, only to be caught and smashed into the ground. Godzilla finishes off the first attacker with a stomp to the neck, but has to dodge the bladed strikes of another. A building is slashed apart by the avoided hit and another Gigan Miles joins the fray by pouncing atop Godzilla's back. Activating its buzz saw, it tries to carve into Godzilla as its cohort fires upon him at range with their energy beam. Godzilla manages to best both attackers by first blowing apart the one latched onto his back with a surge of power through his dorsal spines, before loosing a salvo of explosive atomic breath at the other.
As Godzilla appeared victorious, a strange object crashed down from the sky to challenge him. The leader and most powerful of the attacking monsters, Gigan Rex.
Gigan Rex lashes at Godzilla with his Rex Blades, striking with precisive force to Godzilla's arms. After injuring Godzilla's arms, the slit on Gigan Rex's chest split open, revealing a large eye in his chest that fires a powerful laser. Knocked to the ground, Godzilla returns fire at Gigan Rex, causing the cyborg to leap out in the air and to retaliate with another swipe from his Rex Blades. After slashing through several buildings, the extending chain blades are caught by Godzilla, who swings Gigan Rex into the buildings below. Gigan Rex tries to stabilize himself using the sharp prongs on his tail as an anchor, but Godzilla sends him flying again with the whip of his own tail and tries to finish Gigan Rex with another beam of atomic energy. Gigan Rex blocks beam in-between his claws. Its forehead piece glows as it summons assistance.
Nine more Gigan Miles fly down from the sky. The Gigan Miles retract some of their skin to expose their buzz saws to a greater extent and dive in. The squadron begins an all-out assault on Godzilla, flying past to attack him with their saws as Gigan Rex fires their chest beam from a distance. The Gigan Miles finally dog-piling onto him in an attempt to cut him to pieces with their saws
Godzilla, just as all hope seemed lost, begins surging with energy. He enters an enhanced state with his chest and dorsal spines glowing white. He uses a boosted nuclear pulse shockwave followed by a powerful atomic breath to destroy three of the Gigan Miles. The remaining six Gigan Miles, under the command of Gigan Rex, give up their life force to empower him with glowing cores of energy from their bodies. Forming an arcane aura of red energy from his newly siphoned power, Gigan Rex unleashed a final chest laser in a last-ditch effort to destroy the king of the monsters. Godzilla fires back with his white colored atomic breath.
As their blasts of energy collided, the city was shrouded in blinding white light, and as the light subsided; Gigan Rex's charred body falls to the ground as Godzilla reigned victorious.
