Godzilla the Ride: Great Clash(ゴジラ・ザ・ライド グレートクラッシュ, Gojira za Raido: Gurēto Kurasshu) is a ride attraction written, directed, and with VFX by Takashi Yamazaki.[2][3] Yamazaki's second Godzilla attraction after Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle (2021), it opened at the Seibuen Amusement Park on August 1, 2025.[1] Brogent Technologies began offering the film to other locations that utilize its i-Ride flying theater system on June 11, 2026.[4] The attraction features Godzilla fighting a new version of Mechagodzilla called G Breaker.
Development
The ride's existence was announced on May 7, 2025, alongside a comment from Yamazaki: "I'm thrilled to return to Godzilla's world from the passenger seat. What powerful foes will emerge? Where will this ride take us next? As a ride enthusiast myself, I can't wait for my first spin—and I'm working day and night with our team to make this the most terrifying ride in the world". The ride is planned to surpass Yamazaki's previous in "scope and scale".[2]
The ride's title, release date, and details about its plot, including the debut of a new version of Mechagodzilla, were revealed on July 1.[1]
Production
The ride's visuals were produced by VFX studio Shirogumi,[3] which also created Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle and the VFX for Godzilla Minus One (2023).
