Godzilla vs. Hedorah
Ken lived with his parents, Dr. Toru and Toshie Yano, in the suburbs of the coastal city of Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture. Ken was attacked by a Hedorah during his father's dive, giving him a scar on his right hand. When a news crew came to his house, he mentioned that he named the monster Hedorah, and the name spread through the press. He had a dream about Godzilla attacking a pile of pollution and believed that Godzilla would save them from Hedorah. He later caught a glimpse of Godzilla in the far distance from a rollercoaster at an amusement park when Hedorah first appeared in its Flying Stage. He later attended a party on Mount Fuji with his uncle Yukio Keuchi and Miki Fujinomiya, and was nearly killed by Hedorah, but was saved by Godzilla after receiving a telepathic message from the kaiju. He later said goodbye to Godzilla as he was returning to the sea after defeating Hedorah, and Godzilla gazed back in acknowledgement.
