Lightning in Antarctica

As some of you may have noticed, User:Zillaman98 has recently and twice reverted edits to this page's Abilities section that describe Ghidorah's storm as beginning to form in Antarctica, changing them back to instead state that Ghidorah's storm only begins to form after he's taken flight and that the stormy weather in Antarctica has nothing to do with Ghidorah's storm generation. As you can see from this page's recent history: I pointed out that the golden lightning that's forking through the sky (not Ghidorah's body, in the sky) in several shots in Antarctica after the ORCA starts playing before Ghidorah has gotten his wings free of the ice (much less taken flight), and the very visible and deliberate effects-generated shift in the wind during that scene when Mark Russell and the soldiers look down at their ankles as the ORCA starts playing, are all strong indicators that this is Ghidorah already starting to influence the atmosphere the moment the ORCA plays to wake him, indicating that the supplementary material description's implication that Ghidorah's hurricane only forms due to his wings moving is inaccurate to what happens in the film; Zillaman98 replied that the evidence I've just described regarding what the film portrays is "far too speculative" to be taken seriously relative to a supplementary material's statement which contradicts it, and that the latter should be taken as fact over the former. I concur with his reasoning that an assumption based on what's shown in the film shouldn't be included. Maybe if it's written like an observation instead of a statement of fact, but either way it shouldn't trump the canonical explanation we have. I don't see anything in the Abilities section that says the storms only began once he started flying, or even comments on the Antarctica sequence at all. It merely says that he can generate storms while flying, which is well corroborated. The Monsterverse's supplementary info is frequently confusing and contradictory, but the best we can do is stick to what's provided. Les (main | talk) 21:25, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
