Seen others like VaderRaptor do this, so I might as well give it a go.
Showa Era
Godzilla (1954)
Godzilla 1954 is the codifier of the kaiju genre, but not necessarily perfect. Because it's well-earned praises have often been spoke, little need to repeat here and instead note the blemishes. Several characters are fairly inconsequential and the pacing suffers a noticeable lull in the middle, and the electric fence comes out of nowhere. But these are relatively just nitpicks. 4.5/5 easily.
On a side note, I don't at all dislike "Godzilla - King of the Monsters!". It does tone down several scenes, but the nuclear origin is blatantly obvious, with Burr and company giving fairly solid performances. Understanding why it was made also furthered my appreciation, and I consider it one of the most tasteful Americanizations. 4/5 well deserved.

Godzilla vs. Mothra
For a movie that is a bizarre Frankenstein'ing of at least two unmade films, odd this is as watchable and entertaining as it is. Feels a bit like watching the original 1960s crossover and the original Mothra at the same time, and while some aspects are lesser for sure; others are better. Child character and the family dynamic isn't at all shabby and the unintentional hilarity of Mothra and Battra having a whole prophecy involved in their fated battle and the fate of humanity at risk... only for Godzilla to angrily stomp his way into the middle of it and refuse to leave. 3/5.

American Film
GODZILLA 1998
As a Godzilla movie, it's bad. 0/5 due to mangling character appearance, actions, reactions, and abilities with only the origin intact. If I plug my ears every time they say 'Godzilla' and imagine it is what I heavily suspect Devlin and Emmerich actually wanted to make, that being a remake of The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, it's one of the best modernization films in years, bumping up to a 3.5/5.
Millennium Era
Godzilla 2000: Millennium
A fairly solid, standard, average Godzilla film. Not outstanding, but also not lacking; and it does its job being entertaining. For a rush job, it's frankly astounding it's as watchable as it is. I do with they kept some of the script elements that ended up in the manga. Seen both the Japanese and American cuts and I firmly agree with many who have said it before, the US team did a solid job tightening up the pacing, adding in more sound effects, adjusting the musical score, and getting a good choice of voice cast. Japanese cut, 3/5, US cut, 3.5/5
Godzilla vs. Megaguirus
The most inexcusable reboot ever. Seriously while it wouldn't have saved the movie, this film would have stood much more firmly if it was a sequel to Godzilla 2000 and had some returning cast. Having a realist like Yugi to play off Kiriko would have done wonders for her character development. Even so, pacing is still a mess and the sparse action scenes don't save it. 2/5.
