Don Messick was an American voice actor known for his extremely prolific and diverse voice work for many animated shows and films, chiefly from Hanna-Barbera. Messick played a role in virtually every series that came out of the studio from 1957 to 1996. Among his many roles, he voiced Godzooky in Hanna-Barbera's animated series Godzilla. His most memorable role was the voice of Scooby-Doo and, to a lesser extent, Scrappy-Doo. Messick continued his voice work with the company until suffering a stroke during a recording session in 1996.
