King Kong is a giant ape that appears in the 2021 film Space Jam: A New Legacy.
Design
This incarnation of King Kong mostly appears identical to his counterpart that appeared in the 2018 film Ready Player One. In contrast, his skin is light grey, his fur is navy blue and slightly more shaggy, and his head is slightly wider and furrier in comparison. Overall, this King Kong heavily resembles a real-life Western Lowland Gorilla more so than other incarnations. In dark lighting, King Kong's skin appears dark lavender and his fur is navy blue.
Very briefly when Al-G Rhythm insulted him, King Kong's head was narrower and his face appeared more cartoonishly proportioned.
Personality
King Kong's personality goes mostly unexplored during his screen time. From what can be made of his brief appearances, King Kong is friends with the Iron Giant and beared an interest in watching the Toon Squad face the Goon Squad in a video game version of basketball. He felt very offended when Al-G Rhythm boasted "King Kong ain’t got nothing on me!", responding with crossing his arms and giving a pouty expression looking away from the algorithm before peeking with one eye. It is made clear over the course of the game that King Kong was cheering for the Tune Squad as he gleefully reacts to their triumphant moments.

Space Jam: A New Legacy
As LeBron James and Bugs Bunny traversed the Warner Bros. Serververse to enlist Warner Bros.-owned characters for their basketball team against Al-G Rhythm, the NBA superstar immediately included King Kong on his whiteboard "dream team" list, commenting that "He'd be a beast on the boards." Following the failed attempt to enlist Superman and Batman from "DC world", it is revealed on LeBron's "dream team" list that he evaluated King Kong for "speed" and "power". Following the Tune Squad's "upgrade", Al-G Rhythm announced forth the audience's arrival. Somehow brought to "Loony World", King Kong was amongst the flood of Warner Bros.-owned characters that arrived to watch the basketball game, settling into half of the seats surrounding the altered basketball court. He beat his chest and flailed his arms in glee as Al-G Rhythm brought in LeBron James' over a million followers from the real world to fill in the rest of the seats. King Kong's status remained unchanged as the algorithm revealed his twisted plan to everyone present before introducing the Goon Squad. When LeBron James scored the first point for his team, King Kong's jaw dropped as he witnessed the slam dunk, smiling in glee as the Tune Squad celebrates. During the transition into the game's third quarter, King Kong can be seen applauding. He would be seen doing it again as the game reporters discussed the game shifting in favor of the Tune Squad, albeit only his elbow was visible as he clapped. When LeBron made amends with his son, Dominic James (The fictional depiction of Bryce James), King Kong happily cheered for the embracing father-son duo. Before the final quarter of the game started, Al-G Rhythm boasted "King Kong ain't got nothing on me," to Kong's annoyance. Crossing his arms, King Kong looked away sat up straight with a pouty expression before looking back at the algorithm with one eye. Following LeBron James scoring the winning point for the Tune Squad, King Kong fist-bumped with the Iron Giant in celebration of the team's ultimate victory over Al-G Rhythm and the Goon Squad. In the end, King Kong and the rest of the serververse audience were transported off Loony world as everything returned to normal.

Physical capabilities
King Kong is very athletic and mobile for a being of his size, covering great distances in little time.
Intelligence
King Kong clearly understands abstract concepts and culture such as basketball. He at one point comprehended Al-G Rhythm's insult aimed at him, demonstrating that he can understand human speech.
Weaknesses
This incarnation of King Kong does not display any necessary signs of weaknesses due to his role as a mere spectator of the Toon Squad and Goon Squad's basketball game.

Trivia
- King Kong previously shared film appearance with the Iron Giant in Ready Player One but they do not interact.
- Both were also were featured with Mechagodzilla with the Iron Giant fighting against him in that film. Kong would also go to fight against Mechagodzilla in Godzilla vs. Kong.
- This version of Kong appeared alongside Frankenstein Jr, who previously appeared alongside the Hanna-Barbara Godzilla in Scooby-Doo! Team-Up issue #22 in an unnamed cameo. Because of such, Frankenstein Jr has now appeared alongside both Godzilla and King Kong.
- While this Kong has an similar appearance to the Ready Player One incarnation, it is unknown if the model for that iteration was reused, if the Space Jam incarnation's appearance was based on that design, or if they just simply bear a coincidental resemblance.
