History

Knob was one of the Great Apes who chased Kong across the Hollow Earth. He, One-Eye, and three other apes cornered Kong in a ravine, which the latter had lured them to to kill them with a rockslide trap. One-Eye noticed the tripwire and motioned for his compatriots to stop, and they stepped over it. However, Suko set off the trap from above, and right before the rocks hit, One-Eye grabbed Knob and used him as a meat shield so the he would survive.

Durability

Knob's corpse was able to withstand Suko's rockslide mostly unharmed, allowing One-Eye to survive beneath him.

Intelligence

Although One-Eye's thoughts in the film's novelization do not portray Knob as very intelligent, Knob was smart enough to bring and use a spear. One-Eye had to stop Knob from setting off the tripwire to Kong's rockslide trap.

Weaknesses

One-Eye managed to lift Knob and used him as a shield against Suko's rockslide, leading to the latter ape's demise. One-Eye attributed this to him being "faster and smarter" than Knob was.
