The Millennian UFO first crash landed on Earth millions of years ago, forcing its crew to convert themselves into antimatter. The ship flew into the oceans, and remained there for millions of years. In 2000, the ship was retrieved from the South Pacific by an expedition crew. It then escaped, and begun to fly around Japan. After flying out to sea, the ship reappeared as Godzilla was attacking the Tokai Nuclear Power Plant, blasting the kaiju into the ocean through the use of its laser cannon, unwittingly giving the JSDF an unexpected victory over Godzilla. The Japanese Government tried to destroy the ship, which looked like a large rock, but this only revealed its true appearance. It seemed that every method the Japanese Government tried to use that could slow the ship down was always foiled by the rising sun. The ship traveled to Shinjuku. It extracted data from computers in the city, and remained there until Godzilla came to confront it. Godzilla tried blasting the ship, but to no avail, and the ship fought back using its Laser Cannons and Shockwaves to hold the beast off. Eventually, the crew inside commanded the ship to topple a building on to Godzilla, and retrieve a sample of his Genetic Material. Once this was done, the ship landed, and a Millennian emerged, having regained its natural form. However, the presence of Organizer G in Godzilla's blood made the alien mutate into Orga. During Orga's fight with Godzilla, the alien Mutant commanded his ship to attack Godzilla by surprise. Despite shooting and injuring Godzilla several times, the ship was badly damaged by hitting several buildings and Godzilla, and was then taken down by Godzilla's atomic breath.
Millions of years ago, the Millennian UFO traveled through the far reaches of space, its occupants having long since discarded their organic bodies to endure the long voyage. The UFO crash landed on Earth in the ocean, and remained there for at least 60 million years. In 2000, the ship, initially believed to be an immense meteorite as it was encased in a layer of rock, was retrieved from the Japan Trench by the Crisis Control Intelligence Agency. With the light of a morning's sunrise, it escaped, and began to fly towards Japan. As Godzilla was advancing on the Tokai Nuclear Power Plant, the ship engaged the kaiju. During the encounter, a strike from Godzilla's atomic breath revealed the UFO's hull, but the UFO blasted its adversary into the ocean through the use of its laser cannon, putting an abrupt end to the JSDF's campaign against Godzilla. The UFO flew to the city of Kashima and landed offshore, ceasing activity long enough for the JSDF to construct an electromagnetic barrier around it, but again it escaped as the overcast skies cleared. The ship traveled to Shinjuku, destroying several CCI helicopters pursuing it with shockwaves, before landing atop the Tokyo Opera City Tower. As night fell, it began extracting data from the City Tower's supercomputer and all linked networks throughout the city. As it started altering the atmosphere's oxygen levels, the JSDF attempted to destroy it with Blast Bombs planted inside the Tower, but to no effect, and the UFO retaliated by destroying the building entirely and broadcasting its occupants' declaration of conquest. Godzilla resurfaced in Tokyo Bay and came ashore to confront it. Attempting to subdue Godzilla with psychokinetically-animated infrastructural cables, blasts from its laser cannon and shockwaves, the UFO eventually toppled a building onto Godzilla, successfully immobilizing him long enough retrieve a sample of his genetic material to use the regenerative properties of Organizer G-1. From a swirling organic mass manifested below the craft, the Millennian emerged, having regained its organic form. However, unable to separate Organizer G-1 from Godzilla's genome, the alien mutated into Orga. Godzilla then emerged from the rubble and destroyed the ship with a direct hit from his atomic breath, splitting it in half. During Orga's fight with Godzilla, the alien mutant used psychokinesis to manipulate the front half of the UFO to attack Godzilla by surprise and later to shield himself from Godzilla's ray, destroying the craft totally.

The Millennian UFO (ミレニアンUFO,   Mirenian Yūfō, or Mirenian Yūefuō) is a Millennian spaceship which appears in the 1999 Toho Godzilla film Godzilla 2000: Millennium.

Name

Before the Millennian UFO sheds the debris on its exterior, it is referred to as a rock mass (岩塊,   gankai).[3] In publications contemporary to Godzilla 2000: Millennium, such as its theater program and Super Complete Works book, the UFO's true form is simply listed as Giant UFO (巨大UFO,   Kyodai Yūfō).[1][2] The name "Millennian UFO" (ミレニアンUFO,   Mirenian Yūfō), derived from the alien race to which the craft belongs, arose as early as 2005 with books like Godzilla Toho Giant Monster Pictorial Book, which also gives the name in English.[4] Sources since have varied between the two names, and both remain in usage. Interestingly, Godzilla.com, the official international website of the Godzilla series, lists the craft as "Millennian UFO," but the picture used for it contains 巨大UFO ("Giant UFO") in its filename.[5][6]

Design

When the Millennian UFO first appeared, it looked like a massive rock due to having its exterior being covered by rocks and sand during its millions of years being dormant. After it shed off this rock, it looked like a vaguely bullet-like pod, with a white undercarriage and blue fuselage.
