"Godzilla vs. Y2K Bug" is a 1999 Godzilla short aired as a bumper during commercial breaks on both Cartoon Network and its sister station Boomerang. Due to Hanna-Barbera losing the rights to the character, Godzilla himself does not appear in the short, although he is mentioned.
Plot
The short opens up with a shot of the Calico as the crew are celebrating the new millennium. Suddenly, a loud roar is heard followed by the appearance of the Y2K Bug. Pete announces its presence, to which it replies, "Actually, I prefer Millennium Bug" before continuing to roar. According to Quinn, the bug is capable of wreaking havoc on anything that uses a computer, pointing out examples such as crashing the stock market and causing power grids to fail. Therefore, Captain Majors concludes Godzilla is the only one who can help. He presses the Godzilla Signal only to have it spark in his hands and with no sign of Godzilla. He tries once more, but to no avail. Quinn then sternly asks Carl whether or not he replaced the embedded microchips in the Godzilla Signal. Carl puts on a guilty expression and the short ends with the Cartoon Network logo over the top of the screen and Quinn calling out Carl's name in the background as he repeatedly presses the Godzilla Signal.

Trivia
- Despite not being a Toho creation, Godzooky is also absent from the short, likely for legal reasons due to his connection to Godzilla.
