Dr. Tsunezo Kusumi (楠見恒蔵,   Kusumi Tsunezō) is the leader of the weather research team on Sollgel Island in the 1967 Godzilla film, Son of Godzilla.

Dr. Kusumi is a scientist leading an experiment for the United Nations on Sollgel Island. His goal is to take uninhabitable areas of the planet and use them to grow food on. He plans to do this by freezing a landscape, covering it with silver iodine, and then re-heating it. He never gives up on a project. His teammate Fujisaki claims that setbacks only make him work harder. When reporter Goro Maki parachutes onto the island, he allows him to stay. He is one of the few characters to not fall victim to a strange fever on the island. He, after Kaiju destroy many facilities and threaten his team, decides to call for a UN transport to pick them up and take them off the island.
