Kong: Skull Island - Creature Codex is a 2025 Monsterverse bestiary book published by Evil Genius Games. A supplement to Evil Genius's tabletop roleplaying game Everyday Heroes, it gives both canonical information and game-compatible stat blocks for 54 superspecies and Titans from Skull Island, allowing for any of them to be used in homebrew stories. The book was crowdfunded through Kickstarter in 2023 as part of "The Legendary Bundle," alongside a Pacific Rim counterpart named Pacific Rim: Jaeger Codex and the campaign books Kong: Skull Island - Isle of the Damned and Pacific Rim: Dominion of Iron. A PDF edition was sent to backers on February 6,[2][3] with a physical edition to follow. Both will also be available to purchase through commercial retailers.

This Cinematic Supplement brings over fifty unique creatures to Skull Island and your tabletop, and reveals various florafauna and superspecies that can now inhabit untold roleplaying adventures and Skull Island stories!

THE COOL FACTOR
From the lure of the seemingly harmless Hedgemaizes in the fields and the unseen threat of the Killral Colony in the coastal shallows to the sky-darkening Crow of Thorns and Kong himself, the Creature Codex has something to populate the wilds of every corner of your Kong: Skull Island adventure. With over fifty creatures covering every biome environment that Skull Island offers, Game Masters have a veritable menagerie of unique and imaginative lifeforms to choose from, adding exciting new encounters to their adventures![4]

Trivia

  • Mockup covers show that the book was originally going to be titled Kong: Skull Island - Beasts, then Kong: Skull Island - Cryptid Codex.

I am the author of the book, and while I don't manage art creation, I see the sketches and sometimes get involved in adjustments. We have had artists slip us AI, but I saw plenty of work in progress from this artist on their pieces". X.

Sorry for the delay. We found a last-minute typo on the Creature Codex. Nonetheless, both Dominion of Iron and Creature Codex have been released. If you didn't receive your copy please email us at info@evilgeniusgaming.com.

We're putting the final touches on Isle of the Damned. Once that is done, we'll release it as well.
