April 7, 1989 Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah A Soviet nuclear submarine crashes in the Bering Sea and irradiates the nearby Godzillasaurus into Godzilla. Date given in the Super Complete Works. Events of later movies imply Godzilla existed earlier than 1989.
October 14, 1989 Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla One of Godzilla's cells is collected.
May 3, 1990 Godzilla vs. Biollante A letter from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is stamped to be mailed to Kazuto Kirishima. It is unreadable in the film itself. Biollante has since been retconned to take place in 1989.
July 1, 1992 Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah The time machine MOTHER, believed to be a UFO, is spotted over Tokyo.

TPQ June, 1998 GODZILLA (junior novelization) Godzilla/Zilla awakens over 20 years after June 1968. This makes the earliest point for Godzilla/Zilla's awakening during or after June 1998.
(September 15) 1975 Godzilla: The Series: "DeadLoch" Photographs alleged to be of the Loch Ness Monster are taken in 1975, and are alleged by Dr. Elsie Chapman to look similar to contemporary footage of the creature. This corresponds with a photograph in the real world, taken on September 15, 1975 by Charles W. Wyckoff.
1999 Godzilla: The Series: "Future Shock" The first episode of season 2 sees a timeskip twenty-three years into the future, to the year 2022.

2004 (0 AD) Godzilla: The Series: "Future Shock" In Future Shock's apocalyptic timeline, the D.R.A.G.M.A.s awaken in 2004, eighteen years before 2022.
