• Rie Ota is the first woman to portray a kaiju in the Godzilla series. The first known instance of a woman portraying a kaiju in any film is Yuumi Kaneyama portraying Super Gyaos in Gamera: Guardian of the Universe.
• Ota makes a cameo appearance alongside fellow suit actors Mizuho Yoshida (Godzilla) and Akira Ohashi (King Ghidorah) as a bystander in a harbor office when Godzilla first lands at Yaizu in Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.
