Katsuro Onoue (尾上 克郎,   Onoue Katsurō) is a Japanese special effects director and VFX supervisor, as well as the senior managing director of the Tokusatsu Lab. A frequent collaborator of Shinji Higuchi, he has worked in special effects since the 1980s and has been involved in some capacity with tokusatsu projects from each of the genre's leading studios. Most recently, he served as the associate director of all three live action entries in Hideaki Anno's Shin series (2016-2023), also directing practical effects for all but Shin Ultraman (2022).
