Cthulhu: Death May Die is a game by CMONGames. The game would feature Godzilla as a guest star for part of a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive on July 27, 2024.[1] [2] [3]

The players must prevent the awakening of Cthulhu. If they fail, they must find a way to defeat him. When playing with Godzilla, if Godzilla defeats Cthulhu, the investigators win.

A tie-in comic promoting a crossover between Godzilla titled Godzilla vs Cthulhu: A Death May Die Story was released alongside the game piece of Godzilla, written by Jonathan Maberry and illustrated by Bruno Abdias,[4] at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 27 2024.[2]
Trivia
- Godzilla was planned to fight Cthulhu in an unmade 1994 film and in the Infestation 2 comic crossover event but both instances were scrapped.[5][6] In 2021, Cthulhu was added in Funko's mobile game, Funko Pop! Blitz, which features the Monsterverse incarnations from Godzilla, King Kong and Mechagodzilla, alongside numerous characters from popular culture, and in 2022, a Cthulhu-themed costume was added in the battle royale platformer game Fall Guys, which also features Godzilla-themed costumes.
