Takashi Yamazaki (山崎 貴,   Yamazaki Takashi) is a Japanese director and screenwriter. Inspired to enter the filmmaking business after seeing 1972's Encounter with the Unknown and 1977's Star Wars at the age of 13,[1] Yamazaki began his career in the late 1980s working for Shirogumi's special effects department on films such as Juzo Itami's A Taxing Woman's Return and Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Sweet Home.
