Washington, D.C. is the capital city of the United States of America, and the seat of the country's government. Owing to its national importance, the city has been featured in countless American films, including several American entries in the Godzilla series and other monster movies.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters
After defeating Rodan and bringing him under control at Isla de Mara, alongside awakening the world's Titans with his call, King Ghidorah travelled from Mexico to Washington, D.C. with Rodan in tow, creating a hurricane which ravaged the city. Both Titans proceeded to fight the United States Air Force and Navy along with the USS Argo, until the activation of the ORCA at Fenway Park lured the duo towards Boston.
