Godzilla Kaiju Wars VR is a virtual reality-first person shooter arcade game developed and published by Raw Thrills that was previewed at IAAPA 2023 ahead of its 2024 release.
Gameplay
The game has up to 2 players wear virtual reality headsets to play and interact with the software. The game itself will consist of five stages (two of which are currently live) in which the players face off against various monsters, robots, and Godzilla himself on a war machine using mounted machine guns.
Stage 1: Manda
The player helicopters take a path along the city's waterways to focus on battling Manda and their sea serpent minions, culminating in a close encounter with Godzilla. The stage ends with a teaser to encourage players to try the other stage with Megaguirus attacking the helicopter.
Stage 2: Megaguirus
Descending down from the city heights past defense force zeppelins, the helicopters battle Megaguirus and the Meganula swarm in the skies over Tokyo, with the helicopters making their way up along Tokyo Tower to blast swarms of Meganula and sea serpents. A close encounter with Godzilla includes a flight along the edges of his dorsal plates. The stage ends with Manda attacking the players to encourage trying the other stage.
