Godzilla Head
The Godzilla Head (ゴジラヘッド is a giant statue of the head of Gojira Heddo)Godzilla mounted on Hotel Gracery Shinjuku in Tokyo, Japan. The building is also the site of a Toho Cinema, allowing it to serve as the site of Godzilla: Resurgence's red carpet premiere.
Development
The construction of the Godzilla Head was first announced on December 8, 2014[1] and was finished on April 10, 2015.
Information
The head is based on the head of the BatoGoji Godzilla suit.[2] The head is capable of spewing mist and having its eyes illuminate. It is located 50 meters above the ground, making it a life-size representation of Godzilla's height in the Showa era. The faux rubble beneath the head contains relief depictions of scenes from Godzilla (1954), The Return of Godzilla, and Godzilla vs. Mothra.
