History
Showa Series
Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster
After a meteorite crashed near Kurobe Dam, a team of scientists led by Professor Murai met with a group of workers there before investigating.
Gamera vs. Barugon
After a rocket collides with a meteorite while en-route to Mars, Gamera is freed and returns to Earth to attack the power facility at the base of the Kurobe Dam. Gamera retracts into his shell and deliberately flies into the dam until it breaches, sending a torrent of water to flood into the valley below. Gamera then flies off toward an erupting volcano at the equator.
