Keiji Ota (大田 圭二 is a Ōta Keiji)Japanese producer and businessman who manages the Godzilla brand at Toho Co., Ltd.
Joining Toho in 1989,[1] Ota has since become a managing executive officer of the company and presides over its Anime Group and Products & Licensing, Digital Content Sales, and IP Management & Strategy Departments.[2] In 2017, he was also given the unique title of "Chief Godzilla Officer" (CGO) and placed in charge of overseeing the future expansion of the Godzilla franchise through the Godzilla Strategic Conference.[3] He has produced nearly every major entry in the franchise since then, including all three films of the GODZILLA anime trilogy and the animated television series Godzilla Singular Point.
Ota is the fourth person to serve as executive producer of the Japanese Godzilla films, after Tomoyuki Tanaka, Shogo Tomiyama, and Minami Ichikawa.
