Planet Paira (パイラ星 is the homeworld of the Paira-sei)Pairans. It appears in the 1958 Daiei film Warning from Space.
History
Showa era
Warning from Space
A group of Pairans and some of their leaders depart from the planet for Earth, intent on giving a very important message. After revealing herself as one of the Pairans, Ginko Amano explains that she and the rest of her comrades are trying to warn the Humans about the impending collision of Planet R, a rogue planet that is travelling towards Earth. The humans ask her about her homeworld, and she explains that it is a Counter-Earth, a planet with an orbit similar to Earth, but on the other side of the Solar System.
Trivia
- The concept of Planet Paira being a Counter-Earth was later reused by Daiei for the planet Terra in the 1969 Gamera film Gamera vs. Guiron.
