Emerging from the Gulf of Mexico, Varan swims to shore, clashing with the Mexican government as he makes his way up the North American continent. After several unsuccessful attempts by the Mexican military to kill him, Varan enters the United States and begins laying waste to Texas. He is engaged by Raptor-One along with G-force while over Houston. After being forced down by the craft, Varan lands on a ship re-fueling platform, which Raptor-One sets off by firing on it with its Hellfire Missiles. The explosion ignited the internal gasses Varan used to float, causing him to explode and fall into the Gulf of Mexico as he attempted to flee. With Varan's fate left ambiguous, G-force U.S.A. had claimed its first victory against the monsters.

After Anguirus emerges in Sabinas, Mexico, a wall is constructed along the Mexico/Texas border, in hopes of keeping the kaiju from entering the state. The plan fails, with Anguirus breaking through the wall and subsequently going on a rampage. While there, he is chased by a pair of rednecks in San Antonio who attempt to kill him with their guns. It is proposed by a member of M.E.A.L.S. that Anguirus' destruction in Texas is "for the greater good" and that Texas should be destroyed. The aforementioned rednecks attempt shoot Anguirus with a sniper, however, the bullet fails to injure him. The encounter ends with Anguirus killing them. Anguirus eventually leaves San Antonio, heading towards Godzilla in Arizona.
