Godzilla Final Wars
During a battle with the Earth Defense Force in Antarctica, Godzilla fell into a crevice in the ice and was buried by an avalanche caused by a volley of missiles from the Gotengo. Godzilla's icy prison was then sealed and covered by a large containment facility dubbed Area G manned by two lone men, Nick and Glenn.[1] They were tasked by the EDF to ensure that Godzilla stayed frozen. Nearly 20 years later,[1] in the year 20XX, the Xiliens attacked Earth with their hordes of mind-controlled kaiju. Understanding the help Godzilla could provide, Captain Douglas Gordon and a crew of surviving EDF members piloted the remodeled New Gotengo to Area G, and set Godzilla free by blasting the ice with missiles. Godzilla then clawed his way out of the containment facility and onto the icy plains of Antarctica, where he was intercepted by the Xiliens' cyborg monster Gigan. Godzilla quickly dispatched Gigan and destroyed Nick and Glenn's outpost before pursuing the Gotengo, which aimed to lead him across the globe to defeat the Xiliens' pawns one-by-one.
