Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
In 2027, Scylla attacked Italy's capitol city of Rome, and was confronted by Godzilla. The two Titans charged towards each other, before Godzilla grabbed her by the legs and threw her into Victor the Emmanuel II Monument. Godzilla leapt towards Scylla, but she bound the King of the Monsters' mouth with the tentacles on her mouth, halting his attack. However, Godzilla charged his atomic breath, and blasted it down her mouth, killing the Titan. Afterwards, Godzilla went to rest in the Colosseum. However, when he received the distress call from the Iwi in the Hollow Earth, Godzilla prepared for the return of an ancient threat, advancing through the Tiber River.
Comics
Godzilla: Rage Across Time
After Godzilla had killed the Greek gods in an attack that brought about the destruction of Mount Olympus, and following Zeus' costly defeat of Godzilla, the former deity of lightning had been living among men in the city of Pompeii in Italy. There, Zeus wrote down his tale and made an illustration of Godzilla. In 79 A.D., Godzilla emerged from Mount Vesuvius, triggering the infamous eruption that buried the ancient city in ash, killing Zeus in the process.
In 218 B.C.E., General Hannibal Barca clashed with Roman legions as he made his way through the Alps, when Godzilla attacked them. Hannibal and his mercenaries, who had barely survived the fight, rested as their leader sought a northern entrance to Rome, when they were ambushed by the Roman soldiers. Godzilla attacked them both once again, thus Hannibal the Carthaginians found the chance to retreat into a ravine leading to a northern mountain pass. There, they prepared an attack on Godzilla, heating up vinegar barrels. Hannibal had his men launch the attack and aggravated Godzilla into firing his atomic breath on the heated vinegar, causing an explosion that buried the King of the Monsters underneath parts of a mountain, paving the way for his march on Rome.
In 2016, Benjamin Thompson and Nikki Kasumi examined both Pompeii and the Alps as they visited various historic sights around the world, each hinting at the role Godzilla and other kaiju had in shaping the history of the Earth and humankind.
Godzilla x Kong: The Hunted
After having attacked the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant in India and the United Kingdom Nuclear Labs, Scylla next attacked the Aviano Air Base in Italy to feed on nuclear energy from warheads stored secretly within the Italian air base, with Godzilla in pursuit of the Titan. The Titan Truth Podcast host Bernie Hayes inferred that she was either preparing to reproduce or challenge Godzilla; in either case, Godzilla seemed to have deemed her a threat to the natural order for her actions.
Some time after, Scylla attacked Rome, with Bernie Hayes remarking on how the "Eternal City" would not fair well from her rampage. However, Godzilla at last intercepted her, and the two began to battle in Italy's capitol city.
