Masaki Shinohara (篠原正記,   Shinohara Masaki) was a Japanese actor. Shinohara made his film debut in Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai in 1954, in an uncredited role as a farmer. He continued acting in small roles, eventually signing a contract to become an exclusive actor with Toho in 1957. Shinohara was a prolific and versatile actor; although many of his roles were bit parts and uncredited, he appeared in countless Toho films of differing genres, sometimes playing two or three roles in the same film. Shinohara is most famous for his one and only turn as a suit actor, portraying Rodan in Invasion of Astro-Monster in 1965.
