N700 series Shinkansen Targets Godzilla Piloted by UnmannedSG First appearance Shin Godzilla

The N700 series (N700系,   Enu nanahyaku-kei) is a class of Shinkansen bullet train operated in Japan on the Tokaido, Sanyo and Kyushu high speed lines. Two N700 series units appear in the 2016 Godzilla film Shin Godzilla.

Two N700 series Shinkansens used as unmanned bombs closing in on Godzilla

As part of the first phase of Operation Yashiori, enacted to freeze Godzilla solid, two N700 series units were requisitioned by the JSDF for use in the plans. With Godzilla at Tokyo Station, the two trains were propelled into Godzilla's legs, where they exploded, staggering the giant beast. With Godzilla caught off guard, the next phase of the strategy began with the launch of wave after wave of General Atomics MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper UCAVs.
