M110A2 Self-Propelled Howitzer is a largest self-propelled howitzer of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). It was based on the experience of using British made 8-inch howitzers during the First World War. An American-made weapon, the M110A2 would give general support troops in the field. It was used to counter enemy guns and suppress air defenses. The Howitzer would see service in the Vietnam War as well as the Persian Gulf War. Both the United States and the British armies had the weapon in their arsenal. However, after the Persian Gulf, the weapon was retired from service. Advances in technology made 155mm howitzers more effective in combat than the older M110A2

The Return of Godzilla

The JSDF deployed several units of M110A2 Self-Propelled Howitzers along with, Type 74 Tanks, Ballistic Missile Launchers and battalions of armed ground troops with assault rifles to take positions along the coastline of Tokyo Bay, awaiting Godzilla's arrival. Godzilla arrived at Tokyo Bay as the air force attacked him with fighter jets, but most of them were shot down as he proceeded closer to the coast. The M110A2s and other ground units opened fire on Godzilla, but their bombardment was ineffective on the radioactive behemoth. Godzilla then unleashed a long blast of his atomic ray, wiping out all of the ground units.
