The Mitsubishi Type 89 IFV (三菱89式装甲戦闘車, Mitsubishi 89-shiki sōkō-sentō-sha)(89 FV ) is a Japanese infantry fighting vehicle that entered service with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force in 1989.They make brief appearances in Godzilla vs. Mothra, Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, and Godzilla: Tokyo SOS.

A few Type 89s can be seen Heading towards Godzilla with other military vehicles before the second battle between Godzilla and Kiryu.

The Type 89s main gun is a 35 millimeter KDE cannon.

The Type 89 comes with two 2 × Type 79 Jyu-MAT missiles[1].

Type 89s can carry seven soldiers in the vehicle although this is never shown.
