Ghilaron was present when Demonicus' prized creation Batragon returned from its initial battle with Godzilla, using the powerful energy of the meteorite known as the Lifestone embedded into the volcano's crater to heal its wounds. The bat/Komodo dragon monster didn't rest for long, as Godzilla managed to track the beast to the island and engaged in a rematch with Batragon, resulting in the death of Demonicus' favorite mutation.
After the demise of Batragon, Dr. Demonicus unleashed the rest of his creations on Godzilla and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents that had followed him. Ghilaron, along with fellow monsters Lepirax and Centipor, scaled their rocky enclosure and immediately began attacking Godzilla. Ghilaron lasted significantly longer than Centipor, but soon found himself at the mercy of the mighty Monster King and was ultimately killed as Godzilla used his strength to strangle the monster and snap its neck.
