Mechatron is a giant robot created by Epyx that first appeared in the 1986 video game, The Movie Monster Game.
Name
Mechatron's name is a parody of Megatron's.
History
Created to serve the military, errors and bugs in his programming made him go rogue. He destroyed the facility and escaped with only war and destruction on the mind. He kept attacking cities in order to refuel or due to radio signals his mind interpreted as attack orders. In the Rescue scenario, the army keeps researching giant robots and make a smaller one. As soon as this new robot becomes active, a mental connection is made between it and Mechatron, who swiftly comes to rescue his new "son".
