Gezzora (ゲッゾーラ,   Gezzōra) is a giant cephalopod kaiju who appears in chapter 14 of the 1991 gag manga series SD Godzilla World: Godzilla-kun. He is clearly based on the Toho kaiju Gezora.

Design

Gezzora's design is very similar to that of his namesake, Gezora, both being upright-walking squids with large eyes. Gezzora shares multiple similarities with actual squids, though unlike squids his mouth is more similar to that of a human and is located under his eyes. Later in the chapter, his design becomes more detailed, sporting squid-like lines and markings all over his body.

History

SD Godzilla World: Godzilla-kun

After a whole day of heavy rain on Godzilland Island, Godzilla-kun discovered the frozen body of Ghidorah floating in the floodwaters. While wondering who could have froze him, the culprit, Gezzora, emerged from the water. Godzilla-kun confronted Gezzora and attempted to shoot his atomic breath, but was too hungry to fire it. Bursting out in laughter, Gezzora wrapped one of his tentacles around Godzilla-kun and froze him. Gezzora threw Godzilla-kun into the water and turned his attention to Anguirus and Titano-kun, while the frozen Godzilla-kun floated towards a nuclear nut in the water. Powered up after consuming the nut, Godzilla-kun's now-flaming body charged towards Gezzora and fried the cephalopod alive. Godzilla-kun and his friends proceeded to eat the slain Gezzora.

Abilities

Cryokinesis

Gezzora is capable of freezing entities by wrapping his tentacles around them, as demonstrated when he froze Ghidorah and Godzilla-kun.

Weakness

Gezzora was easily cooked alive by Godzilla-kun after he ate the nuclear nut. Afterwards, Godzilla-kun, Anguirus, and Titano-kun devoured him.
