Titan Hunter is a Titan-sized mech piloted by RM Construction head Raymond Martin in the 2024 Legendary Comics Monsterverse graphic novel Godzilla x Kong: The Hunted. Like Apex Cybernetics' Mechagodzilla, it was constructed to kill Titans and demonstrate humanity's supremacy over them. The mech easily dispatched a captured Spineprowler in a battle staged on an island owned by RM Construction, then killed a Warbat, a Sker Buffalo, and another Spineprowler in the Hollow Earth before Kong confronted and destroyed it.

Design

Titan Hunter is a large, green humanoid mech with a yellow light in the middle of its back. It has two horns atop its head which appear to be made from the pincer of an unknown creature.

Origins

After RM Construction head Raymond Martin lost his family to the female MUTO in 2014, he ordered the secret construction of Titan Hunter as an instrument of vengeance against every monster he could find.

History

Godzilla x Kong: The Hunted

Titan Hunter was housed on pilot Raymond Martin's island lair before being deployed for the first time into a walled testing arena against a captured Spineprowler. It brutally killed the Titan with a series of high-speed blows, although the creature nearly escaped by scaling the wall. Martin was largely pleased with the fight, though he noted a dip in power which could be hazardous against larger Titans.

A week later, the mech was transported to the Hollow Earth in pieces and reassembled. With Martin's company RM Construction a valued Monarch contractor, he was able to bribe enough parties to grant him free reign to go on a killing spree for the next 48 hours. First, he ambushed a sleeping Warbat and grabbed it by the tail, slamming its head into a rock and killing it before it could defend itself. He then dispatched a Sker Buffalo before coming across Spineprowler tracks and two cubs. As Martin approached and prepared to crush the young monsters, their mother leaped into the mech, interrupting the attack. As he was pinned down, Martin used the horns mounted on the mech's head to impale and fatally wound the feline. He continued his advance on the cubs before this time being intercepted by Kong. Titan Hunter charged towards Kong and grabbed him by the throat and choked him before throwing the ape to the ground. As he prepared to smash his mechanized fists onto Kong's body, Kong grabbed the oncoming arms, using them to pull himself up and drop-kick the invader. Kong repeatedly slammed his fists into the mech before Martin punched him in the face, throwing him off. The Titan then proceeded to suplex his opponent over a cliff, with Martin grabbing onto Kong's hand. After Martin raved at the injustice, Kong threw him off, sending the machine plummeting to the ground below and smashing into the ground with a massive explosion, breaking it into pieces. After Martin emerged from the wreckage, he was killed by the same cubs he had been attempting to squash.

Abilities

Physical abilities

A highly nimble mech with long limbs, Titan Hunter battled monsters with punches, kicks, knee smashes, and throws. It was highly effective against smaller opponents, but could only land a few blows against the similarly-sized Kong before he destroyed it.

Horns

Sharp protrusions belonging to an unknown creature are attached to the machine's head to serve as horns. Martin used the larger horn to impale a Spineprowler through the chest, killing her instantly.

Durability

Though it sustained no noticeable damage from the attacks of the mother Spineprowler, Kong dented Titan Hunter's chest and broke off several small pieces of metal when he pounded it with both his fists, and it exploded into pieces after falling off a cliff. Its cockpit was evidently extremely well-protected, as Raymond Martin was able to climb out of the mech following its destruction.
