The Spineprowler is a giant feline Titan that debuted in the 2024 Legendary Comics graphic novel Godzilla x Kong: The Hunted.

Name

The Spineprowler's cryptozoological classification, Ossis Praedator, comes from the Latin words praedator and ossis, which mean "predator" and "bone". It is named after its pronounced spike-like spine.

Design

The Spineprowlers resemble hairless cats. The adults' fur is light brown while the young ones are brighter, though both are covered in darker spots, aside from their underside which is lighter than the rest of the body. Their canines long and the jaw is positioned more forward than other felines', and is therefore more visible. They have spiked tails and very pronounced spike-like spinal vertebrae, long hook-like claws, and appear to have no pupils. The adults have a very slim physique, while the cubs are chubbier and smaller.

Behavior

Monarch describes the Spineprowler's behavior as that of a "destroyer". They are said to be a very nurturing species, with the apex females being very aggressive when it comes to protecting their young. They appear to hunt by ambushing their prey, as one adult did when attacked Kong, though it fled after being overpowered.

Physical abilities

The Spineprowlers' are very fast and agile for their size thanks to their porous bones, which are also resistant to breaking. They're armed with long canines and hook-like claws on both hind and front legs.

Weaknesses

An adult was killed by being struck and electrocuted by giant arrows set up by Raymond Martin. Another adult was killed by him, this time by being impaled by his mech in the chest.
