"S.C.A.L.E." is the twenty-fourth episode of Godzilla: The Series and the third episode of season 2.

Plot

The episode opens with Audrey Timmonds reporting on a battle between Godzilla and Skeetera on Monster Island. Her broadcast is interrupted by a woman who bursts onscreen and begins to say that humans have ruled the planet for too long and that now is the time for mutations to take their place. It then cuts to her interviewing Dr. Niko Tatopoulos who talks about Skeetera's origin in the Florida Everglades, and news footage is shown of Skeetera drinking Godzilla's blood, and an interview with Dr. Elsie Chapman. She states that by taking in Godzilla's blood, the mosquito took on some of Godzilla's properties. Nick is then shown describing how they were using the Heat-Seeker to try and draw Skeetera's fire away from the city, but they were inhibited from completing this task by the Servants of Creatures Arriving Late to Earth, or S.C.A.L.E., led by Alexandra Springer: the woman who had earlier interrupted Audrey's broadcast, blocked their path and tried to gas them. Godzilla was able to subdue Skeetera, as explained by Nick, by accelerating her dehydration. H.E.A.T. then headed to Monster Island to study Skeetera before releasing it onto the island with the other monsters. While this occurs, Alexandra Springer is cleared of all charges in court, and S.C.A.L.E. tracks the Heat-Seeker with a lapel pin handed to Audrey, who sneaked onboard with Victor "Animal" Palotti. The news crew gets footage of the Giant Bat and Crustaceous Rex, and finds some crates that confirm their suspicions of this island being a government project to house and study mutations. They are then discovered, and S.C.A.L.E. makes their attack, which turns off the security measures to make sure the inhabitants of the island chain do not destroy anything or hurt anyone. Randy Hernandez then tries to manually override the systems to put them back online, but they are captured. Audrey is then taken to Springer, while the rest of the team is held captive aboard the Heat-Seeker. Meanwhile, Skeetera drinks the blood and, by consequence, gains the abilities of all of the other monsters save the Giant Bat, whom she begins to battle. Eventually, H.E.A.T. is able to take back their ship, and Godzilla appears to fight Skeetera again. Godzilla is victorious, Springer is arrested and sent to prison, and all returns to normal. The episode ends with Audrey deciding not to air the story after all after discussing it with Nick and burn the videotape containing it in her fireplace while both of them watch (this is shortly after Springer informs Audrey during a visit between the two of them in prison that she has just inadvertently created a training video for future members of S.C.A.L.E.)
