Created by the dreaded Dr. Demonicus, Ghilaron is the most powerful of the children of the Life Stone, tied to first with Radioactive Bat Batragon. The creature resembles a crossbreed between a reptile and an insect, and resembles a basilisk from ancient legend, not to be confused with the basilisk that appeared in Harry Potter. Ghilaron lived inside the dormant volcano which also is where the Life Stone meteor fell, until Dr. Demonicus freed Ghilaron and his other creations on Godzilla and the SHIELD corporation forces attacked his secret base. Unfortunately for Demonicus, his beasts were not as powerful as thought before, and at the end of a climactic battle, Ghilaron was defeated by Godzilla, who crushed the eight legged monster's collar with his bare hands and disintegrated it with his atomic breath.

Godzilla

A creation of the evil scientist Dr. Demonicus, Ghilaron was one of several monsters enslaved by the crazed scientist, living in the crater of a dormant volcano on one of the Aleutian Islands that Demonicus had converted into his secret base.

Ghilaron was present when Demonicus' prized creation Batragon returned from its initial battle with Godzilla, using the powerful energy of the meteorite known as the Lifestone embedded into the volcano's crater to heal its wounds. The bat/Komodo dragon hybrid monster didn't rest for long, as Godzilla managed to track the beast to the island and engaged in a rematch with Batragon, resulting in the death of Demonicus' favorite mutation.

After the demise of Batragon, Dr. Demonicus unleashed the rest of his creations on Godzilla and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents that had followed him. Ghilaron, along with fellow monsters Lepirax and Centipor, scaled their rocky enclosure and immediately began attacking Godzilla. Ghilaron lasted significantly longer than Centipor, but soon found himself at the mercy of the mighty Monster King and was ultimately killed as Godzilla used his strength to strangle the monster and snap its neck.
