Konga is a giant monster that first appeared in the 1961 British-American film Konga.

Name

History

Konga

Konga was discovered by Dr. Charles Decker in Africa as a baboon. Decker goes crazy after discovering a serum that turns his baboon into a gorillous ape. Continuing his gruesome research, he applauds the ape and sends it to London to kill all his enemies who are heavily indebted to the scientific community than he already has. Among his goals are Dean Foster, Professor Tagore, and Bob Kenton, a lover of Sandra Banks, the woman that the doctor is looking for. During a field trip with a group of her students, she made a negative note to Sandra. Eventually she confronts her boyfriend Bob and, although she seems to approve of Bob, sends Konga to strangle her. Decker's assistant and lover Margaret sees her love for Sandra and tries to take revenge by giving Konga a large amount of unusual serum and making her a big beast, even though she becomes her first victim. Sandra is eaten by Decker's carnivorous plants just before the ape goes on a rampage. As a result of the British army killing him (and Decker), his rampage ends. The chimpanzee returns to his baby state after his death.

Konga TNT

To be added.

Comics and books

Konga is, naturally, the main character of Charlton Comics' Konga series, facing a variety of human, alien, and monstrous threats.
