The Giant Turtle (大亀 is a prehistoric reptile co-created by Ōkame)Toho and Tsuburaya Productions that first appeared in the 1977 tokusatsu kaiju film, The Last Dinosaur.
Appearance
The Giant Turtle does not possess any particularly monstrous features beyond its size. Both its body and shell are a mixture of black and reddish-brown.
History
The Last Dinosaur
Journalist Frankie Banks stood on a partially submerged Giant Turtle while taking photos, mistaking it for a rock. When it began to stir, she stepped off of it immediately in alarm. Unperturbed, the Giant Turtle swam away.
