Dynamite Entertainment is an American comic book publisher founded in 2004 by Nick Barrucci. Dynamite primarily publishes adaptations of franchises from other media, ranging from licensed adaptations of films including Army of Darkness, Terminator, and RoboCop to adaptations of public domain literary figures such as Zorro, Sherlock Holmes, and Tarzan. However, most notably, Dynamite assumed publication and ownership of The Boys comic series and its subsequent adaptations after its cancellation by original publisher WildStorm. Dynamite reached an agreement with DeVito Artworks in August 2021 to publish new comics based on the latter's King Kong of Skull Island media property,[1] with the first project being 2023's Kong: The Great War.
