In 2039, the Allied Forces of Earth launched "Operation: Eternal Light" to retake major cities from the monsters. Of the various liberated areas, one was Vienna, the capital of Austria.

In 2037, the Salzburg Divisionary War was launched within Europe, centered around the Austrian city of Salzburg. Godzilla, who had previously been rampaging across Europe, changed course during the campaign and disappeared into the sea, resulting in the operation being a success.
