Nepal, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal (Nepali: सङ्घीय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र नेपाल Sanghiya Lokatantrik Ganatantra Nepal), is a country in South Asia. It is known for its location in the Himalayan mountain range, as well as housing Mt. Everest, the highest point on Earth. In kaiju media, its most prominent role has been in the prequel novel GODZILLA: Project Mechagodzilla.

GODZILLA: Project Mechagodzilla
In 2042, Michael N. Hunter, a G-Force Medical Officer at the time, recounted the announcement of Operation: Great Wall as a large-scale operation to stop Godzilla in the Himalayan mountains. The plan involved destroying the plate boundaru fault in the plains near the Eurasian Continent and the Himalayas by 2,000 thermonuclear bombs, creating a destructive great fault zone and delaying Godzilla's progress. In other words, the plan was to artificially cause crustal deformation and bury Godzilla alive in the long cracks in the Earth.
However, the environmental impact would be massive. Most of the peaks forming the Himalayas - including Mt. Everest - would collapse, and the impact on the crust of the Earth would cause frequent earthquakes around the Eurasian plate. At the time, Nepal, alongside other regions bordering the Himalayas, had suffered relatively little damage from the monsters. Many refugees from the devastated China, India, and Pakistan were evacuated to the Himalayas in that time. They would be the primary casualties of the seismic activity resulting from the operation.
When "Operation: Great Wall" was publicly proposed by the United Earth, a former politician of the Kingdom of Nepal protested in bewilderment - "The Himalayas are a sacred place that has been the object of worship by many peoples". However, since the Bilusaludo dismissed these concerns, Operation: Great Wall - in succession with Operation: Long March - was approved.
In 2043, a soldier serving in Operation: Long March describes how many sacrifices were being made by humanity in order to defeat Godzilla - now, resulting in mankind deciding to destroy the Himalayas. At the same time, Jo Mahima, a member of the Japan Chapter of Mother Earth Defense (an environmental protection group at the time) recounts how unforgivable the action of cutting down the mountains was, lamenting the selfishness of mankind, and pointing out how people were living their old-fashioned lives at the foot of the mountains with no stories of monster attacks.
In 2043, nuclear weapons were placed at the foot of the mountains, and were to be detonated by remote control after all personnel involved in the operation and the people living in the Himalayas had been evacuated. When Godzilla finally approached the target site and the bombs were detonated, the operation was deemed a complete success. Godzilla was swallowed by a landslide, and it seemed that the collapsed Himalayas had crushed him. Everest, K2, Kanchenjunga, and Nanga Parbat lost their summits forever, but had sealed Godzilla in the depths of the Earth through their sacrifice. Many even thought Godzilla was dead.
However, in the vicinity of Ground G, termors similar to volcanic microtremors were intermittently detected. It was concluded that Godzilla was alive, and that the epicenters were moving away from the blast site as Godzilla moved his way underground towards India. After a rise in surface temperatures in the glaciers, gas eruptions and volcanic eruptions were observed in the area.
Once it was determined that Godzilla was breaking free, the concern shifted to the eruption of the mountains themselves - as the Indian Defense Line would have to deal with cinders, pyroclastic flows, and lava rivers before the monster itself.
When Godzilla eventually broke free in 2045, the pyroclastic flow was much faster than anticipated, with various units deployed to intercept the eruption being wiped out by it. Despite the lava pouring out of the mountains and the rocks raining down on him, Godzilla moved effortlessly down the Himalayas, ravaging his way through India and finally disappearing into the Bay of Bengal.
